
“To remain the silent witness of all that flows and sometimes founders”
Born in Holland in 1949. Moved with his family to the Cévennes mountains in the south of France at the age of 10. First exhibition in 1967 in Chambon sur Lignon. Moved to Paris in 1972. Philosophy studies at the Sorbonne University. Participated in the Salon des Artistes Indépendants. Entered the travel industry by chance, and shortly after, founded own company. Travelled worldwide for 25 years, painting whenever possible. In 2000, sold the company to start a new life in order to devote more time to painting. Two years later, with a six-month visa for the United States, joined the Art Students League of New York. The work accomplished during this period was shown at the Broome Street Gallery in Soho in 2004. Since then, divides time between Paris and the Cévennes.
